This painting is of the rolling hills around Paso Robles, California. Paso Robles is in the middle of the wine country portion of the central coast of California. I wanted to capture the way the light hit the alfalfa in the foreground and caught the vineyards covering the rolling hills. I am doing several vineyard pieces and have done more as I traveled to the Tuscan portion of Italy in September '07.
